This photo was taken in Thorpe Springs, Texas at the founding site of what is known today as Texas Christian University.

The inscription on the monument reads, "HERE J. A. CLARK AND HIS TWO SONS, ADDISON AND RANDOLF CLARK BEGAN A PRIVATE SCHOOL. CHARTERED IN 1873 UNDER THE NAME OF ADD-RAN CHRISTIAN COLLEGE. REMOVED TO WACO ON DECEMEBER 25, 1895. REESTABLISHED AT FORT WORTH IN 1909 AS TEXAS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY."

Academic Interests

Since arriving at Texas Christian University in fall 2001 to pursue a B.S. in Psychology, I have become interested in the field of Organizational Psychology. After graduation in spring 2004, I intend on entering the workforce to pursue a career in Human Resource management. It is my hope that the skills obtained from working in an (HR) environment will allow me to acquire the necessary qualifications to enter an academic program leading to an M.B.A. or a master's degree in industrial/organizational Psychology.

Some Interesting Facts

-1984-85 Served as the Poster Child for the United Way of Dallas. During this period of time I was featured in three nationwide commercials of which were aimed at supporting the United Way motto of, "Share because you're able."

-1996-99 During this 3-year span I played as a point guard on the Dallas Junior Texans, a wheelchair basketball team. In 1997 our team was one of twenty teams selected to take part in the annual National Wheelchair Basketball Championship Tournament in Carbondale, Illinois. This tournament gained us recognition as being the twelfth best team in the nation.

-2002 (summer) Achieved the qualifications necessary to become a PADI certified scuba diver. In the future I hope to undergo further training to obtain advaced certifications in scuba diving. It is my goal to one day become an instructor teaching others with various disabilities how to scuba dive.

2003-04 Webmaster
2003-04 President

As President of Psi Chi at Texas Christian University for the 2003-04 academic year, I have high expectations as I intend to lead our chapter to sucess at the highest attainable level. To achieve a high level of success I believe that it not only takes good leadership skills by the officers and chairpersons but most importantly success requires an atmosphere filled with respect and open communication. It is the focus of the new administration to promote active participation by all members and to provide a support system designed to allow individuals interested in joining our chapter an opportunity to gain an understanding of the value that a lifetime membership in Psi Chi will bring for them in the future.
